Class I – Manatee County Area Transit

Description: With a complete metamorphosis of MCAT underway, many improvements needed to be broadly communciated. These image/product awareness ads were created and run on a variety of cable channels appealing to 5 targeted demographic groups. These :15 ads were run paired as two :30 spots for the value of repetition. As well as any mass media awareness campaign may be measured, MCAT drivers continually receieved comments from riders who remark on seeing the ads. Additionally, out of 106 television commericals entered into the Brighthouse Networks’ 2005 Florida Sales Conference competition, MCAT took 1st place in the category: Best Campaigns.

Class II – Palm Tran
Name: “Transit Works episode #5″
Target Audience: General

Description: “Transit Works!” is a half-hour show aired on the local cable access government channel 20 twice a week. Channel 20 reacheds 425,000 households in Palm Beach County. The show is filmed “magazine-style” while incorporating basic information on Palm Tran. For episode #5, the crew involved with making the show and host traveled to the Gillig factory in California to show the process of how a Palm Tran bus is manufactured in a U.S. based factory. The results are an educated public who feels comfortable riding our buses knowing they are safe, clean, and reliable. It educates individuals on the process of building buses, Palm Tran itself, and the benefits of public transportation. “Transit Works!” is a series of eight shows funded by the FDOT.
