Also a direct mail campaign to new households that included surveys with questions about their travel patterns. Yes, Campaign directed to business commuters to promote Broward County Transit as an alternative mode of transportation to get to and from work. Also educates employers and employees about the commuter benefit pre-tax programs that are available. Ongoing leisure/tourist campaigns to encourage ridership during vacation stays in tourist publications; promotional print and radio; and campaign to promote bus pass purchases as holiday and other occasion gifts to targeted choice riders.

Yes, The GO There DO That student campaign, targeting HS students who have not ridden public transportation. Seniors in motion, travel training to seniors who are afraid or skeptical to ride. CUTR has just finished a survey for us and "Choice Riders" are being addressed in the survey. For 2007, we plan on launching a "New Resident's Campaign". Yes, New Resident's Grant (FDOT), Aggressively focusing "Job Fairs", Outreach diversity transit training, flexible route deviation service, working with the tourism council to promote the 7 Day Pass Packet.

Yes, We will continuing working on our new express service and look to launch additional express service. During the launching we get corporate sponsors to provide newspapers and coffee for the morning riders with a media campaign blitz.

Yes, Votran has participated in a variety of studies to determine how to attract choice riders, particularly in our Commuter Assistance Programs. Many of our residents commute outside of Volusia County for work and Van Pools and Commuter buses have been a good alternative for many. Yes, We plan to offer a Summer pass for School age children next summer to introduce transit to new riders. We have also just begun a travel training program to attract new riders through organizations such as AARP, Council on Aging, and local colleges and universities.
